We turn campaigns into movements.

Tonia Wright, CEO

Our team will work with with you to learn your mission, vision, and purpose. We’ll incorporate this knowledge into how we approach your business and how we inform the recommendations we make, to how we execute the strategic plan.

Elena Cleaves, Program Director

We understand the best laid plans produce the most impactful results. We will take the time to intricately understand your needs and expectations and design specific strategies and tactics to produce successful outcomes and measurable results.

Marjorie Langas, Creative Director

We believe in doing the heavy lifting so that our partners can focus on other things. To this end, we will ensure that goals and objectives set will be executed in a manner that aligns with the strategic plan. This includes staying vigilant as campaigns and programs roll out and adjusting, on a dime, to ensure we meet desired outcomes.

Hafsa Tahir, Multimedia Designer

We have a heart for service and are mission driven. We will adopt your organization’s mission as our own and scale our team as necessary to help you reach your audience, deliver impactful information and resources, and achieve your goals.

Katie Feuerstein, Staff Writer

We have an exceptional eye for detail and are committed to helping your organization’s work shine and get in the hands of those who need it. For organizations serving Hispanic populations, we are also able to provide Spanish translation for any materials.

Heidi Koger, Proofreader

We are committed to health equity and recognize that silos, especially in rural areas, perpetuate access barriers for the communities we serve. We deeply value our partnerships and the changes we create, together, that empower individuals and families to thrive.

Gabi Dombrowski, Software Developer

Rather than attempt to reinvent the wheel, we identify opportunities to improve health care and social service delivery through coordinated efforts between ourselves and our partners. We believe we are stronger together and value collaboration over competition.

Janice Ingram, Doula/Community Health Worker

Our community health worker (CHW) and doula team meet families where they are to assess needs and ensure they are connected to culturally appropriate education and resources that empower them to make informed choices that advance individual and community health.

Denise Lewis-Dillard, Operations Manager

We recognize that we are in a position to not only improve but save lives and do not take this privilege lightly. We consistently evaluate our services and programs to ensure we are making the most meaningful impact we can in a way that is accessible and equity-driven.

Ruth McCleery, Doula/CHW

We recognize that systemic racism drives poor health outcomes and are committed to health and racial equity by providing individuals with the information, tools, and support to shift the power differential between patients and providers. Our Spanish-speaking doula ensures that the birthing people she supports, regardless of immigration status, receive services grounded in health and racial equity.

FAQs

How do you provide targeted programming?

Our approach to developing targeted programs includes:

  • Partnering with local organizations and other nonprofits to educate communities on the resources available to them to access and receive better health and social care.
  • Providing education on a variety of health and social issues and the impact they have on an individual’s health and well-being.
  • Offering programs specifically dedicated to improving social determinants of health and access to health and social care to create healthier communities.
  • Empowering communities to take advantage of the available tools and resources to improve their health and well-being, especially with regards to preventative measures. We look for gaps and find ways to fill them in through partnerships with health care, social care, and community-based organizations.

What nonprofits do you work with?

We work with a cadre of nonprofits, specifically health care and social care organizations. We also work with rural health networks and associations. In all instances, our goal is to help increase access to quality care and social support initiatives that advance whole-person care.

How can we partner with Altruism Media?

Partnerships with Altruism Media start with a conversation. We’d be more than happy to schedule an in-person visit, a Zoom chat, or a telephone call. Please contact us to schedule a meeting.

How will you become an extension of our nonprofit?

We work very carefully to be an asset to a nonprofit’s current team in a way that does not duplicate efforts but instead offers an expertise that is needed to meet a particular goal. We are able to scale up or down to meet the needs of our nonprofits. We believe in working with heart, and in a spirit of service. Our team would integrate with the nonprofit’s team in a way that makes sense and enables the nonprofit to flourish.

What is your fee structure?

Our fees are structured based on a client’s budget. For nonprofits without a budget, we will help them find funds to support their initiative. In some instances, we will also donate our time.

Do you have 501(c)(3) tax exempt status?

Yes, we are a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.

Describe your background serving rural nonprofits.

Through our sister company, Grace Advertising & Consulting, Inc., we have been heavily active in serving rural health care entities, networks, and associations in rural Missouri. We understand both the incredible benefits of living and working in a rural community as well as the many challenges as it relates to health equity, food and transportation deserts, health professional shortages, hospital closures, and other social determinants that compromise access to quality care.
